House rules for happy cats:

  • Shoes off at the door
  • Inside voices, always
  • Let cats come to you
  • No flash photography
  • Kids 6 and up

How it works

Three steps to the best hour of your week.

  1. 1

    Book a session

Pick a 50-minute slot online. Weekends sell out, weekdays are sleepy in the best way.

  2. 2

    Grab a drink

Every session includes any coffee, tea, or cocoa from the bar. Pastries ride along for a few bucks.

  3. 3

    Get chosen

Settle into the lounge and let the cats inspect you. Falling in love is optional but extremely common.

Sessions are $15 for adults and $10 for kids 6 to 12, drink included. Adoptions happen through our shelter partners, always fee-free events included.

Cat of the month

September spotlight

Bean is accepting applications for a forever couch.

Every month we feature one resident who deserves extra eyeballs. Bean has been with us six weeks, which in kitten time is roughly forever. She is fearless, hilarious, and ready to run your household.

  • Arrived at 9 weeks old, weighing less than a latte
  • Fell asleep mid-pounce twice this week (witnessed)
  • Special skill: disappearing into any cardboard box
  • Looking for: a home with another young cat or endless humans

The café side

Serious coffee. Silly cookies.

The coffee bar is a real café, with beans from a Portland roaster and pastries from a bakery two blocks away. Cats stay in the lounge, snacks stay on your side. Everybody wins.

  • The Mouser Mocha

Espresso, dark chocolate, a whisper of orange.

    $6

  • Catnap Latte

Honey, cinnamon, steamed milk. Decaf available, obviously.

    $5.5

  • Purr-over

Single-origin Ethiopian, brewed slow. Tastes like blueberries.

    $5

  • Paw-print shortbread · $3.5
  • Kitten cookies (cat-shaped) · $4
  • Salmon quiche slice · $6

Good to know

A day at Purr and Pour.

Every session is 50 minutes, but the vibe shifts all day. Pick your hour like you mean it.

  1. 9:30 AM

    Doors and biscuit-making

Morning light, fresh pastries, and cats at peak chaos after breakfast. The kittens do their best work before noon.

  2. 12:30 PM

    The golden lap hour

Post-lunch drowsiness sets in. This is when the shy cats emerge and the purring reaches maximum volume.

  3. 3:30 PM

    Afternoon play shift

Wand toys come out, Pickles does parkour, and the window perches fill with sunbathers.

  4. 6:30 PM

    Wind-down

Lights dim, voices drop, and the lounge turns into the coziest room in Portland. Last session, best cuddles.
