A cage photo captures a scared cat in a loud room. An hour in the lounge shows the real animal: the biscuit-maker, the shoulder-percher, the one who fetches hair ties. Adopters fall for behavior, not pixels.
Shy cats get a fair chance
The cats who shut down in shelters are often the ones who bloom in a calm room. Juniper hid for her first three sessions, then chose a retired teacher on a rainy Thursday. She now sleeps on that teacher’s pillow.
The trial run is built in
Visitors see how a cat handles noise, kids, strangers, and laps before committing. Fewer surprises means fewer returns. Our return rate is a fraction of the city average, and we are proud of that number most of all.
